The PS40 is a little slow at driving long screws though. For me that’s pretty trivial when compared to the other specs where it whomps the Bosch badly. I use the Bosch just as you described: One thing that I just got in order to fill a void when I “play” electrician is a Milwaukee 4V li-ion screwdriver. The carpenter came to install kitchen cabinets and ridiculed the size, etc, etc of the drill. I thought this would be a keeper but after some use I got tired of it’s slow speed of driving screws. It wouldn’t back it out either, just not enough torque. I want something that will get into cabinets as well as regular driving situations. Eli on December 02, The Bosch has never let me down. I like the solid feeling povket the bigger “blue” Makita set, but it is significantly heavier. They have a soft start feature which is also great for those applications – especially flat-head screws.

I use the Bosch just as you described: Used in excellent condition. I didn’t know about the PS40 or it wasn’t out at the time.

I still ended up replacing the impact with a Makita for bigger stuff. The impact lies in the bottom of the tool box and is likely to live there for the rest of its days.
